Dino Domonation

Dino Domination
Part one

Chapter 1
The rain thundered down from the dark sky onto the floor of the Earth as William pulled up at the laboratory on Birchwood Road at Winchester University. Little did he know that a project he had recently worked on actually worked. The doors slowly slid open with a loud screech. William set the lift up to go to level three. As he stepped out of the lift there in front of him stood… A time machine. “Is it ready?” Questioned William shakely. “Almost” answered David (William's boss). “We just need one more piece. I hope it's here soon!” Dave called after William as he backed away into the shadows.

The next few days William kept on waiting for the piece at the post shop. But nothing arrived. The sun was beating down. He thought it had gone to the wrong destination. He thought he should give up. He was tired and all he wanted to do was sleep. And he left.

William arrived at his house. The clock chimed 10:pm as he opened the oak door. Buster, a chocolate black labrador, jumped up barking, excited to see his master. William dragged himself up the stairs. The floorboards creaked as every lumbering step took him further up to his office. He sat down with his computer. Dave had sent him a message. William hovered his hand over the button not sure if he should press it. But he did.“The last piece is being shipped in tonight.” William paused. It will be here in the morning.” He slowly stood up pulled himself off his chair and into bed.

Chapter 2
Sun streamed through the windows as William yawned. He refused to get up. His limbs ached as he slowly pulled himself up thinking- or daydreaming more likely. Buster was scratching at the door of Williams bedroom waiting for food. “Shoosh Buster!” snapped William. “I’ll come out soon- William was interrupted as the ringing doorbell sounded. William rushed down towards the door. It creaked open. “Hello i'm Zane.” William was surprised. “I work at the post shop. I believe this is yours.” Zane handed him a box with a sticker that labeled, FRAGILE. Zane handed him the box. “Cheerio” Zane called as he walked down the driveway. William was excited he packed up and rushed to Winchester University.

“What's taking him so long?” Questioned Daved. As he stomped his foot repeatedly on the floor. William rushed through the door into the room where the time machine waited. “I’m here, i’m here” called William as he ran toward Daved. He placed the box firmly on the desk. “This is it. The last piece.” “Yes!” Engineer Mike attached the last piece to the computer generator. Suddenly the square time machine hovered one foot off the ground. Lights light up and a voice sounded. “Good day i'm Rover I will be your guide for today.” “It works!” Yelled dave. Everyone cheered. “It's a  scientific breakthrough.” William stopped. “ What exactly was that last piece?” “Nothing much” replied dave. But William didn't agree…

The next day William rushed through the door. “I'm late again.” And then as the elevator took him up… There, in front of him was four people and the fully kitted up time machine activated! “you're here!” Called david. “We have tested it and now we are sending people.” William stood. Affrad. “Ok and who are these?” “Here we have Bob, Gareth, Gordon and Tom who is our paleontologist. And you.” “ Me?” “Yes now come on!” William and the gang hoped in. Gareth flicked the switch suddenly the time machine juddered. William lost sight the room he once was in in a blinding ball of light and they disappear…

Chapter 3
The wind howled and the grass blew wildly. Dense forests surrounded them… “You have arrived at your destination” said the computer generated voice (or Rover) on the time machine. Everyone cheered. “The time machine worked!” The commotion continued as the sun lay his head on the horizon. But william didn't cheer. Deep down he felt like this was a bad idea.

“Do we have food.” Groand Gordon. “Yes.” Answered Tom. “We have a whole cupboard full.”(The time machine had big cupboards.) William started writing a novel of his time so far. “ where are we?” Said William. “North america. Exactly where the lab should be. Just 64 million years earlier.”

The next day the sun beamed. The time machine was hovering above the ground. “Hop in” called Gareth. “Are we going back?” Questioned William, puzzled. “No-” interrupted Tom. “It flies.” Williams mouth dropped. As everyone got in and made themselves comfy William had one question. “Where exactly are we going?” “Africa” replied Bob. “How come i'm always the last to know?” Said william gripping his hands on his head. “Rover take us to North Africa.” Gareth told Rover the computer. “ Right away!” Rover said cheerfully. The time machine zoomed up and the door slammed. Everyone looked out the window and there the forest disappeared into the distance.

Chapter 4
As the northern plains of africa came into view William yawned. A deserted desert land lay in front of them. “Be careful, some of the biggest dinos that have ever existed.” Tom said shivering. “Like what?” Asked William. “Well let's see. Um.” Tom stood there for a while. “Carcharodontosaurus. (Car- car- donto- saurus.) and Spinosaurus.”

William saned the surrounding. Of in the distance lay some sort of oasis. Of to the left was a river and on the other side a forest. There was a lush grassy clearing. It was surrounded by forest and the river. Suddenly Tom, William, Bob, Gareth and Gordon’s heart skipped a beat as a distant roar echoed around. Off in the distance was the shadowy figure of a Spinosaurus. “The biggest dino to exist.” Muttered Tom. The Spino flung a large fish out of the water and dragged it onto the shore. A Rugops dinosaur appeared. A Rugops was a skavenger. It didn't like getting into fights. The crew watched in amaze as it snuck up behind the Spino and snached some meat of it.

That night William pulled out of his pocket a diary. His diary was old. It had been past down from his father. He wrote about that day. He had one thing stuck in his mind. The Rugops must be very Light on its feet. He worried that it just might sneak up on them… Soon.

Chapter 5

The sun beams shone down on the desert. The heat increased fast. Wind howled it blew sand in every direction. They sealed the door on the time machine. The wind howled viciously. “Hey look!” Called William. He pointed toward a herd of dinosaurs that were grazing in the clearing. Then a loud echoing roar burst out followed by a Carcharodontosaurus. William saw Gordon running out of the woods. His bag swinging. Carcharodontosaurus was herding the herbivores out near the river. Suddenly a large pointed spine appeared out of the river. A Spinosaurus emerged out of the wavy river. It leaped out and took hold of one of the herbivores. The creachechor disappeared under the water.

The sand storm slowly died down. William wanted to know what Gordon was doing out in the woods. “I was looking for some food. But I came across this.” Gordon said puffing. He pulled out a skull of some sort. Tom picked it up. “Spino.” Tom said. “But it's so big.” William replied. “That's only a third of it.” Tom muttered. “How big is it?” Gareth questioned. Bob leaned over to have a quick look.

Bew,bew, bew.William woke up quickly. “Wake up wake up!” “What is it?” Questioned Tom. Suddenly the time machine was bowled over by a large object. William looked up. A Carcharodontosaurus was clawing at the wall. Tom, Gareth and Gordon crawled out. The wall was ripped off.  William hoped over the wall. Bob cried out for help. William couldn't look back as a loud crunch sound rang in his ears. And then another creature came. It was a Spinosaurus.

Chapter 6

William turned around. A Spino face to face with Carcharodontosaurus. The Spinosaurus reared up and clawed at the muzzle of the Carcharodontosaurus. Blood trickled down. It stomped backward. As the Spino ran forward. The Carcharodontosaurus moved out of the way. It bit at the spine part. Blood was splattering on the ground. William rushed into the woods after Tom, Gareth and Gordon.

“Why have you stopped?” William asked. He followed there eyes. A stampede of herbivores were ruining their way. “Run!” Called Gareth. William sprinted hard out. “Why are they running?” Puffed William. “There probably running from the carnivores.” Replied Tom. “Down here.” Gordon called. They slid onto the other side of the log. The stamped kept on going. Williams arm stretched out. He was trying to reach his diary, that had fallen out. Then a loud crack came from Williams rist as a herbivore stood on it. William wailed as his wrist twisted back. The stamped continued off into the distance. Gareth picked up Williams diary and handed it to him.

“They have been gone for three dayes!” Dave said to his employes. I hope nothing bad has happened.

Chapter 7

William was limping with the others back to the location of the time machine. There lay the body of the Carcharodontosaurus. “Where is the the Spino?” Questioned Gordon. “And where is Bob?” Tom said. “The Carcharodontosaurus got him.” William replied. His hand was held up by a thin layer of bark. A light wind blew. William found a massive claw stuck into the broken wall of the time machine. “Look!” He called to the others. “What is it?” Tom called back. “A claw.” William said staring at it. “Spino claw.” Tom muttered. He pulled it out. “Where is the Spinosaurus?” William said. Tom shrugged. “We need to fix this. Or were done for.”

Dave walked up and down the lab. “We need them back.”
